Captive Double Deadbolt also known as a "Child Safe" deadbolt offers all the advantages of single and double deadbolts. A Medeco thumbturn key is inserted in the inside cylinder to create a single deadbolt. To remove the thumbturn key a simple procedure allows the thumbturn key to be removed, and providing all the benefits of a double deadbolt.

Door thickness 1-3/4 to 2 inches. For 1-3/8 you need a pair of spacer (use part number 94-0212).
